Cosmin is Partner with Popescu Roman Radu Florea & Associates, with over 10 years’ experience in advising on high-profile transactions, particularly in the energy and real estate sectors, successfully navigating complex transactions for a diverse range of clients.

Drawing on his background in banking and finance, Cosmin has been actively involved in cross-border M&A deals, supporting both domestic and international investors and developers in energy and real estate, retail and industrial projects.

Experience

  • Assisting a major Turkish energy investor in relation with the acquisition of a wind farm project of more than 400 MW, and a total investment of more than Euro 600 million;
  • Advising a major Turkish investor in relation with the acquisition of 2 solar energy projects of 40 MW project and 45 MW plus related storage capabilities of 42 MWh, totaling an investment of more than Euro 40 million;
  • Assisting with the acquisition of a solar energy project of 35MW by one of most important Turkish energy players involving a total investment of more than Euro 20 million;
  • Assisted a major international investor in the acquisition of 2 operational solar projects of 11 MW each and 40 MWh each battery capabilities
  • Assistance of one major Polish investment funds on its acquisition of an 80% stake in the parent company of one of the biggest flight ticket aggregators active in Romanian market;
  • Advised an important Italian player on a real estate transaction of Euro 25 million which concerned a complex structure, including both business transfer, share transfer as well as financing restructuring;
  • Assisted one of the most important developer and operator of mixed-use projects and leader of regional shopping malls market on the establishment of a joint venture for real estate development with a South African investment fund;
  • Assisted one of the most important energy regional players in relation with the financing of a solar park of 35 MW for a total of Euro 20 million;
